What Is Xarelto?
Xarelto is a novel oral anticoagulant. It is prescribed to:
- Reduce the risk of stroke in people with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (AFib)
- Treat deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) and reduce the risk of recurrence
- Reduce the risk of DVT and PE after hip or knee replacement surgery
